CAC 40 down 0.04% in cautious trade due to political uncertainty and upcoming data releases

French stocks are slightly down in quiet trading as investors hold off on major moves due to political uncertainty and upcoming data releases. The CAC 40 is down by 0.04% at 7,485.98. Edenred is up 4.7%, while Eurofins Scientific and Vivendi are down 3.4% and 3%, respectively. Stellantis is down 0.7% after announcing a partnership with Intel Automotive for Formula E. French consumer confidence fell to 89.0 in December, and the trade balance narrowed to 7.1 billion euros in November. The current account deficit decreased to 1.7 billion euros, with exports at 50.10 billion euros and imports at 57.186 billion euros.
