Citigroup is set to report fourth-quarter earnings, with analysts expecting earnings per share of $1.22 and revenue of $19.49 billion. Growth in investment banking and equity markets revenue drove better-than-expected results in the third quarter.

Year-over-year comparisons for income metrics in the fourth quarter may be complicated by charges booked in the final period of 2023. CEO Jane Fraser has focused on slimming down the company since taking over in March 2021.

Investors will be looking for progress updates on Fraser’s turnaround efforts. Citi’s stock was a strong performer in 2024, rising nearly 37% on the year and up more than 4% so far in 2025.
