Citigroup has named Jeff Wu as the Head of Markets Sales for China, in an effort to streamline its sales efforts across all market products. The move marks the first time Citi will unite its offshore and onshore teams in China, showing the bank’s strong commitment to the country. Wu, who has been with Citi since 2010, will relocate to Shanghai for the new role. He has previously led Citi’s China Solutions sales team, identifying synergies between the bank’s financial institutions and corporate solutions businesses in the country. Additionally, Jing Li has been appointed to lead sales efforts for financial institutions in China, reporting to Wu. Corporate clients in China will have their sales team reporting to both Wu and Yoshiyuki Takano.
