The South Korea stock market ended a five-day winning streak, with the KOSPI falling 0.24% to 2,515.78 points. The decline was attributed to profit-taking in technology and chemical sectors, although financials and industrials provided support. Major Asian markets are expected to open lower following negative global forecasts due to strong U.S. employment data affecting interest rate outlook. Wall Street closed in the red as the Dow fell 1.63%, NASDAQ dropped 1.63%, and S&P 500 declined 1.54%. Oil prices surged 3.6% to $76.57 a barrel on Friday after the U.S. imposed additional sanctions on Russia’s oil exports.
