The Caisse Regionale de Credit Agricole Mutuel Sud Rhone Alpes reported its financial results for 2024, highlighting a challenging year with two distinct semesters. The bank saw a decline in credit demand in the first half, but a recovery in the real estate market in the second half due to lower interest rates and improved inflation. Despite economic challenges, the bank’s universal banking model proved effective, with strong activity in savings and insurance.

In terms of commercial activity, key figures for 2024 include a decrease in outstanding loans to €20,685 million, particularly in the housing sector, and an increase in collection balances to €27,000 million. The number of insurance and provident contracts also rose to 546,556. The bank’s leasing business saw growth, reaching an outstanding balance of €335 million by the end of 2024.

Financially, the Caisse Regionale saw a 2.2% increase in Net Banking Income to €421.8 million in 2024. Operating expenses rose by 1.0%, resulting in a Net Social Result of €91.5 million, up 1.4% from the previous year. The bank’s financial strength was reflected in a Net Consolidated Result of €94.1 million, a 3.3% increase from 2023.

Looking ahead to 2025, the Caisse Regionale plans to leverage its proximity banking model to support clients in savings and investment projects. With a stabilizing interest rate environment, the bank aims to boost credit demand and enhance digital services for clients. The focus will also be on offering expertise in energy transition, mobility solutions, and home renovation, while maintaining a diverse range of financial solutions for customers.
