Kuntarahoitus issues 106.5 million Romanian leu bond as part of its bond program

Kuntarahoitus Oyj has issued a 106.5 million Romanian leu bond as part of its bond program. The bond will mature on January 27, 2026, with an annual interest rate of 6.75%. The issuance is under the company’s 50 billion euro bond program. Public trading on Nasdaq Helsinki is expected to begin on January 27, 2025, with Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG as the lead arranger. Kuntarahoitus is a major Finnish credit institution owned by municipalities, Keva, and the Finnish state, with assets exceeding 50 billion euros. The company aims for a sustainable future by financing environmentally and socially responsible projects for its clients, which include Finnish municipalities, welfare regions, and state-supported housing production. Kuntarahoitus is also active in issuing bonds internationally and is the first Finnish issuer of green and social bonds. Their fundraising is backed by the Municipal Guarantee Board.
