The KLCI ended slightly lower, with losses in industrials and mixed performances in other sectors. Oil futures were flat after U.S. crude oil inventories fell less than expected. The Dow, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 all closed lower. Concerns about interest rates persist as the Federal Reserve’s meeting approaches. Consumer sentiment deteriorated in January, while existing home sales rose more than expected in December. Oil futures settled at $74.66 a barrel.
