New Gold Inc. reported a 2% increase in gold production in Q4 2024 to 80,438 ounces, with strong performance at New Afton mine. Annual gold production reached 298,303 ounces. Copper production was at 14.5 million pounds in Q4. New Gold achieved milestones, including commercial production at C-Zone and extraction of first ore from Underground Main at Rainy River. New Afton mine exceeded expectations, producing 19,652 ounces of gold and 14.5 million pounds of copper in Q4. Rainy River faced mechanical issues impacting production. New Gold expects improved results for FY24 due to higher production and prices. Equinox Gold Corp. reported strong Q4 gold production of 213,960 ounces. New Gold has a Zacks Rank #3, while Carpenter Technology Corporation and Fortuna Mining Corp. are better-ranked. Carpenter Technology has a Zacks Rank #1 and Fortuna Mining Corp. has a Zacks Rank #2.
