Saudi Arabia stocks closed lower on Sunday, with losses in the banking and energy sectors. The index fell by 0.27%. Top gainers included Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance, up 9.94%, and Riyadh Cables Group Company, up 6.34%. National Medical Care Company and Emaar The Economic City were among the worst performers.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange. Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance and Riyadh Cables Group Company hit all-time highs. Crude oil prices rose, with February delivery up 1.13% to $73.96 a barrel. Brent oil for March delivery also increased, while gold futures fell.
EUR/SAR rose by 0.52% to 3.87, while USD/SAR remained unchanged at 3.75. The US Dollar Index Futures fell by 0.38% to 108.80.
