Indian stock market sees modest gains, led by PSU stocks, while financial stocks decline slightly.

Indian shares opened slightly higher on Wednesday, with the Sensex up 262 points and the Nifty index rising by 53 points. Larsen & Toubro, Coal India, and Maruti Suzuki India were among the gainers, while Shriram Finance and Bajaj Finance saw losses. Adani Green Energy surged after commissioning a wind power component, Vodafone Idea rose on a network efficiency partnership, and Shoppers Stop reported a jump in Q3 net profit. Allcargo Gati and Premier Energies also saw gains, while IRFC emerged as the lowest bidder for financing a coal block development project and Larsen & Toubro launched a new naval vessel.
