Sensex, Nifty Open Lower As Traders Pare Rate Cut Bets

Indian shares opened slightly lower on Wednesday due to upbeat U.S. economic data, leading to traders reducing rate cut bets. The S&P/BSE Sensex was down 110 points at 78,092, while the NSE Nifty index dropped 25 points to 23,683. Tata Elxsi fell 2.1% after partnering with CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories. Ola Electric Mobility shares decreased by 4% following a warning letter from SEBI. Birlasoft declined 1.7% as CEO Roopinder Singh resigned. Tata Steel reported a 6.17% YoY rise in crude steel production. NTPC shed 0.6% after forming a new subsidiary for nuclear energy ventures. Jindal Worldwide surged over 5% due to a 4:1 bonus issue. Tata Technologies rose 2.2% after collaborating with Telechips for automotive technologies. WPIL saw a 5% surge after acquiring Italian pump major MISA.
