The Singapore stock market is expected to extend its losses on Tuesday, following weak global forecasts. The STI finished lower on Monday, with technology stocks leading the decline. Wall Street also saw heavy losses, with the NASDAQ plummeting over 3 percent. Concerns about interest rates and trade policies weighed on the markets. Oil prices fell sharply due to tariff threats and weak manufacturing data from China. Singapore will release preliminary Q4 unemployment data. The jobless rate in the previous quarter was 1.9 percent.

On Wall Street, the Dow managed to climb into positive territory but the NASDAQ and S&P 500 finished with significant losses.
