The Singapore stock market ended a three-day losing streak, with the Straits Times Index finishing just above 3,800 points. Global markets are upbeat ahead of Lunar New Year. STI closed higher Thursday, led by financial and property shares. The index gained 0.67 percent to finish at 3,806.57. Wall Street saw gains, with the Dow up 0.92 percent. Biotech stocks surged, while jobless claims rose. Oil prices fell as U.S. crude inventories were lower than expected. Singapore will release December industrial production numbers.
