Taiwan stocks closed higher on Monday, with gains in the technology and construction sectors. The Taiwan Stock Exchange rose by 0.53%. Top performers included Champion Microelectronic Corp, up 10%, and New Asia Construction & Development Corp, up 9.91%. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones. Crude oil prices slightly decreased, while gold futures rose.

In commodities trading, crude oil for March delivery fell by 0.08% to $77.33 a barrel, while Brent oil for March delivery dropped by 0.22% to $80.61 a barrel. The February Gold Futures contract increased by 0.02% to $2,749.16 a troy ounce. The US Dollar Index Futures also decreased by 0.21% to 108.97.

The USD/TWD exchange rate was down 0.44% to 32.78, while TWD/CNY remained unchanged at 0.22%. Taiwan stocks closed higher, with the Taiwan Stock Exchange rising by 0.53%. Top performers included Champion Microelectronic Corp and New Asia Construction & Development Corp, while falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the exchange.
