Canadian stocks had a weak performance on Monday, with the S&P/TSX Composite Index closing down 0.93% at 24,536.32. Healthcare, energy, materials, utilities, and technology stocks all closed notably lower. Healthcare stocks Bausch Health Companies and Tilray Inc lost 6.4% and 2.3%, respectively. In the energy sector, MEG Energy Corp tumbled 5.6%. Nutrien climbed about 5.5% following a rating upgrade, while technology stocks like Celestica Inc and BlackBerry closed lower. Parkland Corporation gained nearly 4%, with several other stocks also seeing gains ranging from 1 to 2.5%.
