Waste Management Inc Q4 profit increases but falls short of analysts' expectations

Waste Management Inc reported a profit of $598 million in the fourth quarter, up from $493 million last year, but fell short of analysts’ expectations. The company’s revenue also increased by 14.9% to $5.893 billion. Excluding items, adjusted earnings were $688 million or $1.70 per share, compared to the expected $1.80 per share. Waste Management Inc earnings at a glance (GAAP) included EPS of $1.48 and revenue of $5.893 billion.
