European companies, including Stellantis and BMW, are at risk of 25% USA tariffs

President Trump’s proposed 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico have European companies worried about their supply chains. Bank of America identified Stellantis, BMW, National Grid, Holcim, Ferrovial, Tenaris, Vestas Wind, Lonza Group, Brenntag AG, and Nestle SA as particularly vulnerable due to their revenue and supply chain dependencies in North America.

Stellantis, an Italian automotive manufacturer, has 16 supply chain links in Canada and earns 47% of its revenue from North America. BMW, a German automotive giant, has 18 Canadian supply chain links and derives 26% of its revenue from the US.

National Grid, a UK utilities firm, has 50% of its assets and 54% of its revenue tied to the US. Holcim, a Swiss industrial company, relies on North American markets for 39% of its revenue. Ferrovial from Spain generates 50% of its revenue from the US.

Tenaris, an Italian energy firm, has 9 supply chain links in Canada and Mexico and 52% of its revenue tied to North America. Vestas Wind Systems from Denmark has 14 Canadian supply chain links and earns 37% of its revenue from North America.

Lonza Group AG from Switzerland has Canadian supply chain connections and generates 32% of its revenue from the US. Brenntag AG has supply chain links in Canada and Mexico and 36% US revenue exposure. Nestle SA operates supply chain links in Canada and Mexico and earns 35% of its revenue from the US.

Other companies highlighted by Bank of America include AstraZeneca, ABB Ltd, Mercedes Benz Group AG, Volkswagen, and Epiroc.
