Apple and Google have restored TikTok in the U.S. after Trump delayed the ban, giving assurance of no immediate consequences. The law required the app to be banned unless sold to a U.S. buyer. TikTok started disabling services but was revived after Trump assured its usefulness and signed an executive order delaying the ban by 75 days.

Trump hopes to make a deal to keep TikTok in the U.S. with potential ownership by the U.S. Without approval, there is no TikTok, but with it, the app could be worth billions or even trillions. The 75-day delay in enforcing the ban may be extended, pending further negotiations with China’s Xi.
