A new Rogers survey shows that 78% of Canadians see hockey as essential to Canada’s identity, with 75% saying national pride is deeply tied to the sport. Canada and the United States will face off in the championship game, with 60% of Canadians seeing a victory as crucial amidst economic threats. The final game, airing on Sportsnet at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, is a rematch of a highly anticipated game that drew over nine million viewers.
