Vinci and STMicroElectronics are among the top gainers, up 3.2% and nearly 3% respectively. Thales, Vivendi, BNP Paribas, and other major companies are also showing gains. L’Oreal is down 3.4% due to lower sales. Economic data shows France’s trade deficit narrowed in December 2024, with exports rising 4% and imports falling 0.8%. The country also posted a current account surplus of €2.4 billion.
Investors are eagerly awaiting U.S. non-farm payroll data to gauge potential Fed interest rate moves.
