French retailer Carrefour has made an offer to take its Brazilian unit private. The move comes as the company aims to streamline its operations and focus on its core business in Brazil. Carrefour currently owns a 67.7% stake in its Brazilian unit. The offer is subject to approval by minority shareholders.
