On Wall Street, major averages fell significantly on Friday, with the Dow dropping nearly 1 percent. The decline was influenced by consumer sentiment weakening in February, unexpected job growth data, and President Trump’s announcement of reciprocal tariffs.
Oil prices rose on Friday following new U.S. sanctions on Iran’s crude exports, despite a stronger dollar limiting gains. West Texas Intermediate Crude oil futures for March closed at $71.00 a barrel.
