Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:EA) reported Q3 earnings per share of $2.83, missing estimates of $2.88. However, bookings surpassed expectations at $2.22 billion. The company’s Q4 outlook fell short of Wall Street’s projections, with earnings expected between $0.76 and $1.17 per share and bookings forecasted at $1.44 billion to $1.59 billion.
Despite the disappointing forecast, EA announced a $1 billion share repurchase program, boosting investor sentiment and causing shares to rise over 2% in pre-market trading. The company reaffirmed its full-year outlook for fiscal 2025, with earnings expected to range between $6.25 and $6.65 per share and bookings projected at $7 billion to $7.15 billion.
