The Nifty 50 closed lower for the 6th consecutive day due to fag-end selling, while the Sensex ended higher on gains in financials. Nifty Bank gained 0.2%, while the Financial Services index rose by 1.3%. The Sensex closed at 58,795.92, up by 514.58 points, and the Nifty 50 closed at 17,528.20, down by 38.90 points. Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, and Infosys were the top gainers on the Sensex, while Tech Mahindra, Titan, and TCS were the top losers. Despite the positive closing of Sensex, the Nifty 50 was dragged down due to fag-end selling.
