Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc. experienced a rise in operational expenses in Q4 and fiscal year 2024, leading to a lower net income. The company’s Q4 earnings per share (EPS) of $0.20 fell short of Wall Street’s estimate of $0.34. Revenue also decreased to $799.18 million from $853.42 million a year ago. For 2024, HE’s EPS was $0.98, down from $1.38 in the previous year. Analysts at Jefferies view the Supreme Court’s decision in the wildfire case as a positive for Hawaiian Electric.
