Imperial Metals Corporation reported a rise in metal production from Red Chris in 2024, with 85,320,618 pounds of copper and 59,811 ounces of gold. The Red Chris feasibility study is progressing, and Newmont Mining Corporation forecasts 88 million pounds of copper and 86,000 ounces of gold production for 2025. Both copper and gold production are expected to increase in 2025 at Red Chris due to mining higher grade ore. Mount Polley’s 2025 production target is 25.0 – 27.0 million pounds copper and 35,000 – 40,000 ounces gold. Imperial is a Vancouver-based company with mines like Mount Polley and Red Chris.
