Global markets are showing support ahead of key U.S. employment data. The KLCI saw gains on Thursday, led by financial, telecom, and industrial sectors, while plantations were mixed. Key actives included Celcomdigi, Gamuda, and Petronas Gas. Wall Street saw mixed results, with the Dow down and the NASDAQ and S&P 500 up. Traders are awaiting the Labor Department’s monthly jobs report, with first-time U.S. unemployment claims rising more than expected. Crude oil prices fell as President Trump pledged to boost U.S. production. Malaysia will release industrial production numbers for December.
