Meta Platforms, Inc. has approved a substantial increase in bonuses for select executives, excluding CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The move follows positive fourth-quarter results and a 5% employee layoff. The bonus increase, effective in 2025, raises target bonuses to 200% of base salary. Meta aims to motivate executives and align compensation with peer companies.

In its latest earnings report, Meta saw a 20.6% rise in revenue to $48.385 billion, beating estimates. The company expects first-quarter revenue to range from $39.5 billion to $41.8 billion, with continued growth throughout 2025. Despite positive performance, Meta recently laid off 5% of its workforce and reduced annual stock options for employees, with reductions varying based on location and position.
