Nevada Lithium Resources Inc. provides an update on its metallurgical program at the Bonnie Claire lithium project in Nevada. Testing is being overseen by Fluor and Kemetco to develop a process plant for an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment. Initial results show high Lithium and Boron recovery rates, with a focus on acid-leach circuit testing. The program is expected to conclude in April 2025.
Fluor and Kemetco’s test work program at the Bonnie Claire Project has shown high Lithium recoveries with reasonable acid consumption rates. This could potentially reduce the plant’s electrical demand by utilizing steam turbine generators and produce Boric Acid as an additional revenue stream. The updated PEA is set to be completed in late April 2025.
The Bonnie Claire deposit is divided into Lower and Upper Zones, with significant Lithium and Boron resources. The Lower Zone has an Indicated Resource of 275.85 million tonnes at 3,519 ppm Lithium and 8,404 ppm Boron, with an Inferred Resource of 1,561.06 million tonnes at 3,085 ppm Lithium. The Upper Zone has an Indicated Resource of 188.08 million tonnes at 1,074 ppm Lithium and 1,519 ppm Boron.
The technical information in the disclosure has been reviewed and approved by Kevin Martina of Fluor Enterprises Inc. and Dr. Jeff Wilson of Nevada Lithium. Forward-looking statements in the news release caution investors of potential risks and uncertainties in the mining industry. Nevada Lithium continues to focus on shareholder value creation through the Bonnie Claire Project.
