Miata Metals Corp. reports promising exploration results at the Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname. Samples from various targets show high-grade gold, with the Puma target yielding up to 194.2 g/t Au. The drill rig is on site, with drilling expected to start this month. The company is excited about the discovery potential at Sela Creek.
The Puma target at Sela Creek exhibits intense hydrothermal alteration and repeating vein sets. A grab sample from a tension vein returned 194.2 g/t Au, near another vein that had 39.2 g/t Au in 2024. The area shows great promise for continued exploration and drilling.
At the Golden Hand target, samples have yielded up to 14.53 g/t Au. The zone has multiple targets along a 2km strike length. The Golden Hand target features foliation parallel veins and fault-fill veins, indicating significant mineralization potential.
Results from the Stranger target include samples with up to 34.66 g/t Au. The zone has not been drilled before and is a high-priority target for Miata’s upcoming drill program. The host rock at Stranger has strong foliation and vein sets with various mineralized fault-fill veins.
Miata is mobilizing additional equipment for early exploration work alongside the drill program. Construction of a permanent camp is ongoing, with a core logging and cutting facility recently added. All samples are being analyzed at an ISO-certified lab in Paramaribo, with acceptable results in QA/QC testing.
Dr. Jacob Verbaas, P.Geo, a director of the Company, is the Qualified Person overseeing the technical information. Miata Metals Corp. is focused on mineral exploration in Suriname and British Columbia. The company continues to evaluate opportunities for acquiring exploration-stage mineral properties.
Investors should note that grab samples are selective and serve to prove mineralization presence. The Company does not generate revenues from surface mining activities. Forward-looking statements in the news release should be taken with caution due to inherent risks and uncertainties.
