Microsoft is removing the VPN feature from MS Defender in Microsoft 365 subscriptions, citing a need to realign with customer needs. The feature, introduced in 2023, provides privacy protection by encrypting internet activity. Android users must manually remove the feature, while Windows, iOS, and macOS users are not affected. Microsoft 365 subscribers can still access identity theft protection and credit monitoring services.
