Consumer Products companies, including Tesla Inc and Deckers Outdoor Corp, are underperforming with a 0.9% loss. The iShares U.S. Consumer Goods ETF is up 0.2% on the day and 1.37% year-to-date. Tesla is down 5.44% YTD, while Deckers Outdoor Corp. is down 16.02% YTD.
The Industrial sector is also down 0.9%, with FedEx Corp and Stanley Black & Decker Inc leading the losses. The Industrial Select Sector SPDR ETF is down 0.8% midday but up 4.16% YTD. FedEx Corp is down 11.51% YTD, while Stanley Black & Decker Inc is up 5.50% YTD.
S&P 500 components show three sectors up and six down. Utilities and Energy are up 0.4%, while Consumer Products and Industrial sectors are down 0.9%. Healthcare is up 0.1%, while Technology & Communications and Financial sectors are down 0.5% and 0.6%, respectively.
