Sensex, Nifty End With Minor Losses

Indian shares fell slightly on Thursday due to concerns about tariffs and uncertain global trade and inflation outlooks. President Trump plans to impose 25 percent tariffs on autos, pharmaceuticals, and chips to boost U.S. manufacturing. Geopolitical tensions rose after Trump called the Ukrainian President a “dictator” and warned of losing the country without peace. The S&P/BSE Sensex closed down 0.27 percent, while the NSE Nifty index fell 0.09 percent. Mid-cap and small-cap indexes rose, with positive market breadth. Stocks like HCL Technologies and Tata Consumer Products fell, while Adani Ports and Mahindra & Mahindra jumped.
