Indian shares surged in early trade following news that U.S. President Trump delayed tariffs on Mexico and Canada. The Sensex rose 0.9% to 77,906 points, while the Nifty jumped 0.8% to 23,557. ONGC, Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro, BEL, and Hindalco saw gains of 2-4%, but Trent from the Tata Group fell nearly 5%. ITC Hotels, Nestle India, Britannia Industries, and Hindustan Unilever all dropped over 1%. The rupee also opened higher amidst positive market sentiment.
