Sherwin-Williams to acquire BASF’s Brazilian architectural paints business “Suvinil” for $1.15 billion in cash. Suvinil had sales of $525 million in 2024 and employs 1,000 people. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2025, pending regulatory approval. Sherwin-Williams plans to finance the acquisition with cash, existing facilities, and new debt.
