TSX Ends Weak As Communications, Tech Stocks Decline

Canadian employment rose by 76,000 jobs in January, with the unemployment rate falling to 6.6%. Canopy Growth Corp reported a net loss of $122 million, leading to a 28% drop in their shares. Technology and communications stocks like BCE Inc and Open Text Corp also closed lower. On a positive note, Converge Technology Solutions surged over 53%, while non-farm payroll employment in the U.S. rose by 143,000 jobs in January.
