U.S. Durable Goods Orders Rebound More Than Expected In January

New orders for U.S. manufactured durable goods saw a 3.1 percent increase in January, surpassing expectations. This rise follows a 1.8 percent drop in December. Excluding transportation equipment, orders remained unchanged from the previous month, in line with expectations of a 0.3 percent increase. Economists had predicted a 2.0 percent increase in durable goods orders, compared to a 2.2 percent decrease in December.
