Concerns about U.S. consumer strength grow after Walmart’s disappointing outlook Thursday. University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment index drops to 64.7 in February, significantly lower than December’s 74 reading. Soft economic data on Friday adds to worries, sending jitters through stocks.
