VEON Ltd. and Kyivstar raise nearly UAH 107 million for demining in Ukraine through the We Live Here 2.0 project. Over 140,000 square kilometers of land in Ukraine are contaminated by mines, causing 608 civilian casualties in 2024. The funds raised will support mine clearance services with advanced technology like Ukrainian-made robotics and drones. Kyivstar has contributed UAH 50 million to the project. The initiative has the support of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and aims to make the country safer for its citizens. VEON is committed to investing in rebuilding Ukraine and supporting critical initiatives like demining efforts.
