WeRide launches first fully driverless Robobus service in Europe, partnering with Renault

WeRide, a leader in autonomous driving technology, announced the first European fully driverless commercial deployment of its Robobus in France’s Drôme region, in partnership with beti, Renault Group, and Macif. The service will feature L4-level automated mobility with robobuses able to carry eight passengers, starting operations on March 10 at the Rovaltain business park – Valence TGV station. This deployment is groundbreaking as WeRide’s first fully driverless commercial Robobus deployment in Europe, showcasing its global expansion, and the first high-level automated service connecting a railway station to a business park. Renault Group and WeRide conducted successful trials leading to this passenger transport service.
