The S&P 500 index tracks the performance of 500 large-cap American stocks. ETFs like SPY, VOO, and IVV are the top funds with assets over $600 billion each, excluding some big names like Taiwan Semiconductor. However, more than 120 ETFs include Taiwan Semi shares, offering exposure to foreign tech stocks.
Spotify, based in Sweden, and Shopify, based in Canada, are not S&P 500 members. Despite this, over 120 ETFs include their shares. Coinbase, a U.S.-based cryptocurrency services giant, is on the verge of S&P 500 inclusion but has been overlooked in past updates. Still, over 160 ETFs hold Coinbase shares, making it a top pick for many investors.
