Genetic testing company 23andMe has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in order to facilitate a sale process to maximize business value. The company plans to continue operating normally and assures customers that their data will remain secure. CEO Anne Wojcicki has resigned, with Joe Selsavage stepping in as interim CEO. Thomas Walper and Matt Kvarda have also been appointed to key roles within the company. The sale of assets will be conducted through a chapter 11 plan, pending court approval.
