Warren Buffett oversees Berkshire Hathaway, holding a $281 billion portfolio and $334 billion in cash for new opportunities. A $1,000 investment in Berkshire in 1965 would now be worth $44.7 million, showcasing Buffett’s stock-picking prowess compared to the S&P 500’s growth to $342,906.

Amazon, 0.7% of Berkshire’s portfolio, leads in e-commerce and cloud computing with AI services through AWS. Amazon’s AI efforts extend to an AI shopping assistant, Rufus, and AI tools for sellers to enhance customer engagement and search engine visibility.

AWS generated $107.5 billion in 2024, contributing over half of Amazon’s operating income. Berkshire’s 0.7% stake in Amazon, worth nearly $2 billion, could see significant returns from Amazon’s AI investments. Coca-Cola, 10.2% of Berkshire’s portfolio, uses AI in marketing campaigns and partnered with Microsoft’s Azure for AI tools.

Berkshire’s $1.3 billion investment in Coca-Cola is now worth $28.8 billion, earning $776 million in dividends in 2024. AI plays a role in Coca-Cola’s future success, potentially compounding Berkshire’s returns in the long run. Apple, 24.3% of Berkshire’s portfolio, saw Berkshire sell part of its stake in 2024. Apple’s advancements in AI with Apple Intelligence and Siri could drive demand for its devices and services.
