Accenture (NYSE:ACN) reported better-than-expected second-quarter results, with earnings per share of $2.82, beating estimates by a penny. Revenue rose to $16.7 billion, an 8.5% increase in local currency, surpassing the consensus forecast of $16.63 billion.
Despite overall bookings falling to $20.9 billion, generative AI-related deals contributed $1.4 billion, showcasing the significance of AI-driven transformation in client strategies. The company’s gross margin decreased to 29.9%, while operating margin improved to 13.5%, highlighting operational efficiencies.
Accenture narrowed its full-year EPS guidance to $12.55-$12.79, with analysts expecting $12.72. The company raised its revenue growth forecast to 5%-7%, improving on its previous projection of 4%-7%. Shares dropped over 8% intra-day, despite the positive results.
