AMC Entertainment is expanding with 40 new Dolby Cinema theaters in the U.S., a 25% increase in branded premium screens, totaling over 200. The move follows a recent partnership to add 65 Screen X auditoriums and 40 4DX theaters globally. Premium large format screens offer immersive experiences, driving box office success.

Premium ticket prices for PLF screens average nearly $17 each, with a growing 33.7% of North American theaters featuring these screens. In 2024, PLF screens accounted for 9.1% of the domestic box office, totaling around $600 million. Despite being a small portion of the overall box office, PLF box office has grown by 33% in five years.
