Angus Gold Inc. announces successful preliminary results from the Winter 2025 drilling program at the Golden Sky Project in Ontario. The drilling program has doubled the strike length of the high-grade gold zone on the Dorset West Zone, showing growth potential along 2.1 kilometers of strike length.
Highlights from the drilling program include high-grade gold mineralization in the Dorset West Zone, with results showing a doubling of the strike length to 200 meters. Additionally, 15,000 meters of drilling are planned for the Golden Sky Project in 2025, with a fully funded exploration budget in place.
CEO Breanne Beh expresses satisfaction with the initial results, highlighting the doubling of the high-grade Dorset West Zone’s strike length to 200 meters. The goal of the winter program was to test the potential for growth in the Dorset Gold Zone, with significant grades and strike expansion seen in preliminary results.
Visible gold was present in all three holes drilled, with notable intercepts such as 15.6 g/t Au over 3.5 meters in GS-25-183. The gold mineralization was found in quartz veins within a metasedimentary rock package, indicating consistency in the high-grade zone that remains open to the west.
The 2025 drilling campaign at the Golden Sky Project is set to be 15,000 meters, focusing on targets along the Dorset Zone mineralized structural corridor, the BIF Gold Zone, and the Eagle River Splay exploration area. The project aims to extend the strike length and explore the full potential of the Dorset Gold Zone.
