BayWa r.e. has agreed to manage 406MW of power across 14 wind farms in the UK, generating electricity for 143,700 homes. The ten-year agreement with Greencoat UK Wind includes technical asset management services for the wind portfolio. Nine wind assets will be retained and extended under the deal.

Greencoat UK Wind manages a portfolio of 49 wind farms with a combined capacity of 2GW in the UK. The company plays a significant role in the country’s renewable energy landscape and aims to expand further. Schroders Greencoat expressed delight in signing a long-term framework agreement with BayWa r.e., emphasizing joint efforts towards net zero goals.

In March 2025, BayWa r.e. secured €435m in funding from shareholders and financial partners to support its transformation. The company’s chief operations officer highlighted the collaborative relationships with partners like Schroders Greencoat in the UK market. Greencoat UK Wind, listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2013, continues to contribute to the renewable energy sector’s growth.
