Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) and Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) are investing in the AI market. Strategy, known for Bitcoin hoarding, is rolling out generative AI tools for its BI platform. Palantir uses AI to help clients make decisions. Strategy’s stock rose 65%, but Palantir’s surged over 270%.
Strategy accumulated 499,226 Bitcoins worth $41.7 billion, overshadowing its software business. Revenue growth is slow, expected to rise 2% annually until profitability in 2027. Strategy plans to raise $42 billion for more Bitcoin buying through 2027, diluting investors and increasing leverage.
Palantir went public in 2020, serving government and commercial clients. Revenue grew 27% annually from 2020 to 2024. Valued at 282 times forward earnings, Palantir’s high valuations may limit upside potential despite growth projections. Analysts expect 31% revenue growth and 57% EPS growth from 2024 to 2027.
Palantir seems to have a brighter future in AI than Strategy, which is more focused on Bitcoin. Investors cautious in the market may consider nibbling on Palantir. Strategy’s Bitcoin strategy may be risky, with potential downsides if Bitcoin falters. Consider direct Bitcoin investment or ETFs for exposure.
