BHEL has won a contract to develop the 800MW Ukai thermal power plant in Gujarat. The project was awarded by GSECL through competitive bidding. BHEL will handle design, engineering, and construction under an EPC agreement. This strengthens their partnership with Ukai power station, where they installed the first unit in 1976.

BHEL secured a contract from NTPC for the Telangana stage II thermal power project. The company will be responsible for the design, engineering, and construction of three 800MW units.
