Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:CSIQ) reported mixed Q4 results, beating revenue estimates at $1.67 billion but missing earnings with a loss of $1.47 per share. Shares rose 3% despite the disappointing outlook for 2025.

The earnings miss was due to impairment charges on solar and manufacturing assets, as well as the impact of tariffs and anti-dumping duties. Revenue fell 11% year-over-year due to declining solar module prices.

Canadian Solar projects Q1 2025 revenue between $1.0 billion and $1.2 billion, below the $1.62 billion estimate. Full-year revenue is expected to be between $7.3 billion and $8.3 billion, compared to the consensus of $7.46 billion.
